  • I feel mediocre.
I only want to feel exceptional.
I hate these moments...I really shouldn't be awake at 2 am. My mind wanders places it shouldn't.

    ---------------------

    Things are quite busy..
Looks like we're starting a tradition of a show a week? We just booked a show at Neverland this Thursday.
Smashbox still hasn't announced its winners, though I'm fairly sure I'm not one of them. Top 20 schmemmy.
(Top 10, even...who cares? It's the grand prize & first placers that count.)

We traded in the Subaru for an older Honda Element...though it looks brand new, and has very few miles. It's much more "us". I'm in love with it.

Also new - 24" Mac. Mmmhmm.
I have yet to put CS4 on it...I'm frightened of what will happen when I do. ;)

    Lack of work sucks.
There is no lack of busy, however. I'm trying to get over it & just concentrate on my projects...not worry about the work aspect.

My brain is scattered. I should stop while I'm already lost..

  • "I'm Stronger and I'm Braver, I'll Earn the King's Favor...One Day all He Has Will be Mine"

I'm drifting away from Xanga. No time at the moment, I'm afraid.

    A few things:
    *Our re-financed loan closed today.
*I found the most heavenly food item(s). The Greek GodsĀ® Honey Yogurt & Nature's Path® Flax Maple Crunch cereal. I'm never eating anything else.
*I will NEVER understand how people cannot figure out gas pumps. ESPECIALLY Costco gas pumps. Ugh. Whatever happened to evolution? Survival of the fittest? How are these people still alive?!
*Recording with Cody is sounding fantastic! This kid will go places...if only he lets himself. He's an absolute genius.
*We have a show (paid, yussss!) on the 10th at Jazzy Java. Nice. We need to re-learn our songs..we've abandoned our music for Cody's (and other things) lately.
*Natural GrocersĀ® is AMAZING. Organic produce at non-organic prices? Hallelujah! Not to mention all the vegetarian products & other that are MUCH lower than both health food & grocery prices.
*I got a new purse! *girly squeal*
*The Alice project is going better than expected! I cannot believe the immense response I've gotten from designers! I'm getting free samples from one, and quite a few are offering to make custom items. My cup runneth over with jewelry and accessory makers, and I even have a shoe designer!!! I'm ecstatic.

  • Tigers Hate Cinnamon.

*Estate Sale Saturday: Our garage looked like one big antique shop....for approximately 5 minutes. We were scheduled to start at 7am, but when I left to get breakfast at 6:45, there were people waiting outside our house. What in the world?! People love some sales, I guess. We sold 90% in the first two hours, and had to sit around until 2 pm with an empty looking garage. Hahaha. Awesome. Thankfully, Brandon & Andrea were there to help/keep us company/keep us sane. We made around $1000 (we priced things quite cheaply), and we can now fit the car in the garage for the first time in over a year. Awesome.

*The Hangover: ....was amazing. I am speechless, really. Better than I expected - and I was expecting alot.

*It's taken over a year to work out the account with American Express (i.e. getting them to realize that my mom is dead, and that the joint account needs to now be in my name only). I received my new card this weekend, and guess who's photo is on the back? Not mine. Yeah. It's my deceased mother's picture. Great job Amex. You guys are S-M-A-R-T.

*I can FINALLY order CS4 for the Mac, a beauty dish, and get my hair done! Woo!

*I think I may have enough models to start the Alice in Wonderland project...now I just need to finish some of the pieces. I'm working on an amazing skirt for the "Mad Hatter", but it's taking some time, and my fingers are quite sore. Eek.

*I am very much ready to move. Too bad the house isn't. Ugh.

*I am on page two on Smashbox! 11th place! Only one week left! Keep voting! Smashbox.com

  • Saturday.

    June 6, 2009 - Pace/Dennett Wedding.

Wow. SUCH a long day. 9:30 to approximately 9:30.
Normally that would be a bit long, but not too bad...
BUT I hadn't slept the two nights previous.
48+ hours since my last bit of rest.

To make matters worse? My TMJ was to the point that I couldn't really eat. My jaw would crack (past the popping stage..this was like a knuckle crack) every bite/yawn/chew/etc.
No food. No sleep. (No cake? Poo.)

Thank goodness for Red Bull! One for the ceremony, one for the reception (along with a painful Cliff Bar), and a lovely crash at the end of the night so I could sleep.

Somehow my brain was able to work (better than usual?), and I was able to pull it off - with some lovely shots, I do believe.
